Timely intervention to restore broken teeth

There are many good reasons why a broken tooth should never be left untreated. Quite apart from any aesthetic considerations, broken teeth are always more liable to incur further damage, or even split and require extraction.

Chiswick Park’s Dentists can offer a variety of restorative treatments to restore the tooth to its former shape and appearance, prolonging its life and preventing further problems and associated expense. If the break has recently occurred and you still have the fragment, we may be able to use it in the repair process. Alternatively, filling work, inlays or a dental crown might be appropriate.

Extensively filled back teeth can now be beautifully restored with the modern technology of porcelain or high density composite to their prefilled condition.

Teeth that are heavily filled with large silver fillings which have fractured or are at risk of fracturing can be rebuilt with inlays preserving the remaining healthy tooth structure.

An inlay is similar to a filling and lies inside the cusp tips of the tooth. An onlay is a more extensive reconstruction that covers one or more cusps of a tooth.

They are custom-made to fit the prepared cavity and are then cemented into place.
